Hawaii deal: A spring break on fares -- $528 round-trip from Los Angeles to Honolulu
Sometimes a cheap airfare can inspire a trip, particularly when the destination is Hawaii. Sale fares from L.A. to Honolulu start at $528 round trip on Hawaiian Airlines. At that price, the whole family can go on spring break.
The deal: Hawaiian Airlines’ sale started Tuesday for airfares from Los Angeles to Honolulu starting at $528 plus tax. The deal is good for travel from April 12 to June 9.
When: The offer must be booked by 11:59 p.m. PDT Tuesday. I would expect seats to go quickly at the sale rate, so you might want to reserve well before the offer runs out.
Tested: Fares vary. I even found some lower than the advertised sale price of $528. For example, in a check of random dates on the airline’s website Wednesday morning, I found round-trip fares of $406, including tax, for travel from April 30 to May 5 and $520 for travel from April 26 to May 3.
Note that the airline charges $10 for a first checked bag and $17 for a second one for those flying coach.
