Mountain bike, hike and kayak through Peru’s Sacred Valley (El Valle Sacrado), a colorful region 10 miles north of Cuzco that is home to colonial towns, ancient Inca sites and small weaving villages.

The valley, along with Machu Picchu and Cuzco, once formed the heart of the Inca Empire.

A three-day tour called the Sacred Heartbeat, organized by Libertador Hotels, Resorts and Spas, includes a four-hour mountain bike ride with extensive views of the Andes Mountains, a full-day trek with llamas, and rafting on Huaypo or Piuray lakes.
