Hermosa Beach hotel renovation aims to bring you -- and the beach vibe -- in
The boutique Hotel Hermosa in Hermosa Beach is getting ready to change its look with a $4-million renovation starting in October. The idea is to redo rooms, the lobby and common areas to better reflect the spirit of the beach community in which it's located.
That means surfboards in the lobby, scenes of big waves in photos on the wall and generally a cleaner, more modern decor.
The lobby will be a place for guests to work or hang out. It will feature extra lounge seats for those who want to gather and unwind and a work space for those who need some laptop time.
The 4,800-square-foot outdoor patio will become a bit of a fun zone, with guests engaging in bocce games and relaxing at fire pits. You'll be able to kick back and order some local micro-brew beers too.
Hotel Hermosa is owned by Pacifica Hotels, which also owns the Carlyle Inn in Los Angeles and the Marina del Rey Hotel. The hotel will remain open during the renovation.
