Wynn Las Vegas cranks up the party factor on the Strip with a new nightclub called Intrigue.

Intrigue opened at the hotel on April 28, the date of the resort’s 11th anniversary, in the space that formerly housed the Tryst nightclub.

The club is open from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. Thursdays through Fridays. Cover charges are $25 for women and $45 for men.

Wynn’s Chief Operating Officer Sean Christie says Intrigue’s innovations are designed to keep it from being left behind in the city’s crowded after-hours scene.

In 2007, Christie helped launch the electronic dance music craze in Vegas with the opening of the former Blush nightclub.

For Intrigue, Christie hired Mark Shunock, a performer who recently completed three years with the high-energy show “Rock of Ages,” as the club’s creative director.

Shunock is tasked with creating a blend of entertainment forms that, according to a release, will provide a mix of contemporary music genres and frequently changing color palate to keep the experience fresh.

Intrigue also includes a social media-free zone expected to be popular with privacy-seeking celebrities.

The club’s first major concert will take place May 21 when Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Seal takes the stage for an 8 p.m. show.

General admission tickets cost $100 and are available by calling (702) 770-2270.
