Disney cruises add wine-pairing menu, new dishes in specialty restaurant
Plenty of kids love Disney cruises, but now there’s something new for the oldsters: fresh offerings at the adults-only specialty restaurant on all ships.
Palo, the restaurant named for the poles that line Venice’s canals, will begin serving a new wine pairing menu called Esperienza del Vino, a six-course meal paired with wines from all over Italy.

You might be eating gnocchi with cep mushroom sauce, sea bass with spinach and buckwheat or aged striploin roasted with rosemary. Wines include Elena Walch Gewurztraminer from the South Tyrol or a Tuscan red called Antinori Tignanello Marchesi.
The dinner menu adds items like a whole roasted chicken with vegetables, Dover sole and scallops served in a Prosecco and black truffle reduction. Limoncello tart, chocolate souffle and coffee-infused tiramisu are the sweet endings.
Dinner at Palo costs $30 per person and $59 per person for the wine-pairing menu. Reservations are required too, so don’t forget to make them in advance.
