Where to find hidden Alaska, from Denali to the rugged coast
If you’re drawn to roads less traveled, Alaska has many to offer. Explore some of the state’s most beautiful regions this summer on a two-week expedition organized by John Hall’s Alaska tours.
The Denali Explorer includes a trip that takes you 95 miles into Denali National Park, a region known for wildlife such as bears, moose, caribou and wolves.
Other highlights include a journey on the scenic Alaska Railroad, a visit to Talkeetna with a jet boat tour in Devil’s Canyon and a six-hour wildlife cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park. At sea, guests explore Alaska’s rugged coastline, with glacier-viewing, whale-watching and culture-rich ports of call.
Dates: June 11-24, June 18-July 1
Price: $4,000 per person, double occupancy, if booked by May 27. Included are activities, accommodations, guides, meals, land, rail and cruise transportation, airport transfers, port charges and taxes, some gratuities and baggage handling. Air fare to Alaska is extra.
