You can bring your dog along when you golf at this California resort
If you've ever wanted to bring your dog along on the golf greens, here's your chance. The Chalet View Lodge, about 50 miles north of Truckee, Calif., in the High Sierra welcomes pets on the resort's nine-hole golf course.
To be clear: Your dog won't be given clubs and a caddy; it's just a chance for your favorite tail-wagger to keep you company.
Dogs also score a dog biscuit at the front desk, and bowls of water are located around the property too. It costs $25 a night for one to two dogs with the room. Guests also may dine on the terrace or lawn with their pets too.

And there are good reasons to bring your pet. The lodge is located near the Feather River in Plumas National Forest. It's a wind-down setting for owners but a place where pets can get a workout.
Resort rooms start at $109 a night and rustic cabins (one- or two-bedroom) start at $170 a night. And yes, there's Wi-Fi.
There are lots of outdoor activities too. You can explore some of the nearby lakes -- Frenchman Lake and Lake Davis among them -- while taking a hike or mountain bike riding. The resort has a horse shoe pit, badminton, sand volleyball court, swimming pool and spa and a catch and release fishing pond.
