Recruiting update: Porter Gustin squeezes in Trojans coaches
The family of linebacker Porter Gustin probably needed a wide-angle lens to capture a photograph with USC Coach Steve Sarkisian and assistants during an in-home visit in Utah on Tuesday.
In a photo posted to Twitter by Scott Higginson, the brother of Salem Hills High football Coach Joel Higginson, Gustin and 24 relatives, high school coaches and friends posed with Sarkisian and assistants Justin Wilcox, Marques Tuiasosopo, Peter Sirmon and Keith Heyward.
It was the only in-home visit Sarkisian was allowed with Gustin during the contact period, per NCAA rules. Assistants can visit once more before the end of the contact period Jan. 31.
Gustin, 6 feet 5 and 240 pounds, remains a top target to sign a national letter of intent on Feb. 4.
Last weekend, his parents accompanied him on an official visit to USC. He is scheduled to visit Arizona State this weekend and could still visit Ohio State.
USC has 15 verbal commitments and 19 available scholarships in its 2015 recruiting class.
