USC football: Breslin, Bailey, Telfer make trip to Hawaii
USC linebacker Morgan Breslin, safety Dion Bailey and tight end Randall Telfer, all of whom have been limited because of injuries, were with the Trojans late Tuesday night when they arrived at their hotel in Hawaii.
The Trojans open their season Thursday against Hawaii at Aloha Stadium.
Breslin, a senior who had a team-best 13 sacks last season, suffered a foot injury during training camp.
Telfer, a junior, has been slowed by a knee injury.
Bailey suffered a hip injury a few weeks ago but has been participating in most drills, Coach Lane Kiffin said this week.
Before the Trojans departed from Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon, Kiffin was asked if Telfer, Breslin and Bailey were going on the trip.
“I hope so,” Kiffin replied when each name came up.
“Boy, we’d be in a lot of trouble if we didn’t have those three guys,” he said.
