Tim Hudson’s wife sends nice tweet to Eric Young Jr.
While most people who saw the video are still wincing in pain, the wife of Atlanta pitcher Tim Hudson has been busy sending tweets, including one to Eric Young Jr., the New York Mets ballplayer who stepped on Hudson’s ankle, breaking it in gruesome fashion.
On Thursday, Kim Hudson sent the following:
@EYJr Thank you for playing the game the right way. You’re obviously one of the good guys. We appreciate you.— Kim Hudson (@kimberlybhudson) July 25, 2013
Young rushed to Hudson’s side after stepping on him, obviously concerned and unhappy that Hudson was injured. He stayed near Hudson while trainers worked on him and shook hands with him while Hudson was taken off the field on a stretcher. Tim and Kim Hudson have both said the play was an obvious accident and hold no ill will toward Young.
Kim Hudson also thanked the Mets organization taking such great care of her husband after he was injured:
Can’t say enough great things about the @Mets organization and the way they handled Tim’s injury: players, medical team, security #grateful— Kim Hudson (@kimberlybhudson) July 25, 2013
All this proves one thing: Broken ankle or not, Tim Hudson is a lucky guy.
