Paulina Gretzky, Dustin Johnson announce their engagement

Not so long ago Paulina Gretzky had to step away from social media after her father, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, objected to the racy photos of herself she was posting for all the world to see.

She has returned to social media, and this weekend she posted a photo much tamer than those from the past. It generated plenty of excitement, though, since it announced her engagement to pro golfer Dustin Johnson.

The photo shows the 24-year-old Gretzky liplocked with the seven-time winner on the PGA Tour, with a giant rock on her ring finger in clear view. The caption reads: “Never Been Happier @djohnsonpga.”

Johnson, 29, also posted a close-up of the engagement ring on his now-fiancee’s finger, with the caption “She said yes!!!!! @paulinagretzky.”

The couple were first linked when Gretzky was in the gallery at Kapalua to see Johnson win the Tournament of Champions, his only PGA Tour victory this year. Her parents joined her at the Sony Open the following week.

Johnson and the Great One were partners in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
