Kings, Ducks unveil jerseys for Stadium Series [Video]
If you have a particular fondness for those eye-popping bright orange safety vests that construction workers wear, well then, the Anaheim Ducks’ jersey for the upcoming Stadium Series at Dodger Stadium might be just for you.
The Kings’ jersey for this game against the Ducks, in contrast, seems almost sedate with a heavy use of silver. That almost doesn’t make sense: If you are going to dress a team in garish colors, it should have been the Kings in their original purple and gold from the Forum days.
After all, history should be honored somehow, right?
The jerseys were unveiled by the teams Tuesday morning with Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf and Kings captain Dustin Brown doing the modeling in the 31-second video clip on the Ducks’ site.
One last thought: With all that orange, shouldn’t this game have been played on Halloween, not Jan. 25?
