How should the Clippers handle the Blake Griffin situation? [Poll]

Blake Griffin hurt his hand and at the same time hurt the Clippers.

The All-Star forward will miss at least four to six weeks after breaking a bone in his right hand while repeatedly punching a team employee in the face during an altercation outside of a Toronto restaurant.

Griffin has already missed a month of games because of a quadriceps injury. That wasn't his fault. The broken hand, though, is totally on him. It's something that never should have happened and will have a negative effect on the Clippers and their fans.

It is the second incident involving Griffin in the last 16 months. A West Hollywood man accused Griffin of snatching his cellphone and grabbing him in October 2014 after the man took a picture of Clippers players at a nightclub in Las Vegas.

The misdemeanor battery case was later dropped after prosecutors decided there was insufficient evidence. Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said he spoke with Griffin afterward about the need to prevent similar situations from escalating.

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and Rivers issued a joint statement about the latest incident on Tuesday: "This conduct has no place in our organization and this incident does not represent who we are as a team. We are conducting a full investigation with assistance from the NBA. At the conclusion of the investigation, appropriate action will be taken.
