Rams are in the final stages of moving out of St. Louis
Reporting From BOCA RATON, Fla. — The Rams, in the final stages of clearing out their St. Louis headquarters, will begin formal draft preparations April 5 in Southern California, Fisher said during a meeting with reporters.
Fisher said he had packed up his office with instructions for some items to go to three places.
The Rams will conduct off-season workouts in Oxnard and are finalizing agreements to conduct training camp at UC Irvine and regular-season workouts at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks.
“You prepare for Oxnard, and then stuff will go into storage for camp, and then stuff will go into storage to come back for Thousand Oaks,” Fisher said.
When the Rams had prospective players in for visits, the signs in St. Louis of the impending departure were obvious.
“The approach was, ‘You are experiencing history here,’” Fisher said, “because you walk down the halls and there’s nothing left on the walls and boxes are packed and things are stacked in offices, coaches boards are down and there’s no video to watch.
“So if they had any question as to whether we are moving or not, those were answered.”
