Fans will sport NBA Christmas jerseys before they debut on the court
The NBA Christmas jerseys are here! Just in time for ... well, you know.
While the special short-sleeved (rather than the traditional sleeveless) jerseys with the extra-large team logos won’t be worn on-court until Dec. 25, they are already available for purchase at NBA.com.
But you might want to ask Santa for one of these bad boys. Otherwise, it’s going to cost you just a nickel under $110.
The downside to that plan is you will have to get up kinda early in time to find your jersey under the tree and have it on in time to plant yourself in front of the TV for all the action.
The Christmas Day slate features the Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets, 9 a.m. ET; Oklahoma City Thunder at New York Knicks, 11:30 a.m.; Miami Heat at Lakers, 2 p.m.; Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs, 5 p.m; and Clippers at Golden State Warriors, 7:30 p.m.
Perhaps even cooler than the jerseys themselves is the commercial released by the NBA on Wednesday, featuring Steve Nash, LeBron James, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and James Harden wearing the new duds and playing “Jingle Bells” by shooting balls into bell-adorned baskets.
