Pau Gasol arrives in Buenos Aires for 2020 Madrid Olympic pitch
Pau Gasol is in Buenos Aires, preparing a pitch to the International Olympic Committee to bring the 2020 Olympic Games to Madrid.
“I am very excited about being here,” said Gasol, translated from Spanish. “We have a very strong bid, based on trust. We must guarantee that we are going to organize a great Olympics in 2020.”
Gasol will make his presentation Saturday. Madrid is hoping to beat out Tokyo and Istanbul, Turkey, for the honor.
