Lakers seventh-best three-point shooting team in NBA
The Lakers are one of the better three-point shooting teams in the league.
Before their Sunday night visit from the Orlando Magic, the Lakers have shot 37.5% from three-point range as a team through 16 games. That’s good for seventh best in the NBA.
The Miami Heat is the top team from range at 42.5%.
Kobe Bryant is shooting a career-best 40.5%, hitting 32-79 from three. Second-year guard Darius Morris is slightly higher at 40.7% (11-27).
After a slow start, Jodie Meeks has found his range, climbing to 40.8%. In seven games, before an abdominal strain, Steve Blake shot an even 40% (8-20).
Both Chris Duhon (38.1%) and Metta World Peace (37.4%) are also shooting respectable percentages.
Of course Steve Nash, historically the best long-range shooter on the team, was hurt in the second game of the season. Once he’s healthy, the Lakers percentage should climb.
Which Laker is leading the team with a perfect 100% from behind the arc?
Dwight Howard, naturally, who hit the second long ball of his career Friday night against the Denver Nuggets.
