Lakers reserve point guard Chris Duhon will sit out the game Tuesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers at Staples Center.

After missing the past few days of practice with back spasms, Duhon was ruled out about an hour before tipoff after going through warmups on the court.

“I had surgery about six years ago, it’s kind of coming back a little bit,” said Duhon of his back pain. “It hasn’t flared up since.”

The injury isn’t thought to be serious.

“If this was like a playoff game, I definitely would be playing,” he said. “I’ll probably just sit this one and definitely be ready by Friday.”

The Lakers visit the Clippers on Friday.

Duhon has played in 26 games this season, starting nine. He has shot 42.7% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range.

Darius Morris will probably get the point-guard minutes behind starter Steve Nash. Morris is also starting at shooting guard and will initially be assigned to the 76ers’ Jrue Holiday on defense.
