The Lakers didn’t wait to see Kobe Bryant back on the court against an opponent before inking him to a two-year contract extension.

Bryant is still recovering from a torn Achilles, suffered in an April win over the Golden State Warriors.

Now the team’s All-Star guard will be under contract until the end of the 2015-16 season.
