Pau Gasol won’t play against Suns today because of continuing vertigo
Pau Gasol completed some cardio work in the morning but will not play against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday evening.
He will miss his fourth game because of vertigo.
“Better, but he looks a little loopy,” Lakers Coach Mike D’Antoni said Sunday morning after the team’s shoot-around. “I don’t think he’ll be able to play today.”
Xavier Henry will miss his second game since his right knee flared up. He missed about two months earlier this season because of a bone bruise and cartilage abnormality in the knee.
Steve Nash will be a game-time decision because of recurring nerve damage in his back, D’Antoni said.
The Lakers come back from a wasted road trip in which they went 0-2, losing 108-105 to the NBA’s worst team, Milwaukee, and losing 143-107 to Minnesota, the 36-point loss their largest ever to the Timberwolves.
