Ready for surgery, Metta World Peace tweets he’s ready to play
Even though Metta Peace will be sidelined for at least six weeks because of a knee injury, he has not lost his sense of humor.
Thursday morning, the day he’s scheduled to have surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left knee, he tweeted the following:
I’m ready to play instagram.com/p/XaFWbarkj6/ — Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) March 28, 2013
Attached was a photo of World Peace in a hospital bed, with an IV in his arm and a blue scrub cap on his head.
It was not the first time World Peace talked about an early return from his knee injury.
Tuesday on Twitter, World Peace said he might he back on the court with the Lakers in a week and a half. The tweet was quickly deleted.
World Peace sustained the knee injury during Monday’s game against Golden State, apparently after slipping on a wet spot at Oracle Arena.
