Lakers’ Bryant, Howard and Nash on list of top jersey sellers
Three Lakers made the NBA’s latest list of the league’s 15 most popular-selling jerseys, more than any other team, with Kobe Bryant (3rd), Dwight Howard (9th) and Steve Nash (13th) on the bestseller list.
As a team, the Lakers came in third behind the New York Knicks and Miami Heat.
It’s worth noting that the list is based on sales since April at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in New York as well as on NBAStore.com.
The fact that the NBA Store is in New York might have had something to do with the Knicks claiming the top spot. The result would probably have been different had the store instead been located at, say, L.A. Live.
Despite that New York advantage, Bryant has claimed the survey’s top position six times, according to the NBA.
In the latest survey, LeBron James and Kevin Durant took the No. 1 and 2 spots, respectively.
