Andrew Bynum will not play against New Jersey
Lakers center Andrew Bynum will not play Tuesday against New Jersey because of an ankle injury, and it is uncertain whether he will play Wednesday against the Clippers.
“I know he’s out tonight,” Lakers Coach Mike Brown said. “We’ll see tomorrow and the day after.”
Bynum suffered a moderate ankle sprain during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against Golden State. X-rays on his ankle were negative but he did not participate in shoot-around Tuesday.
Josh McRoberts is expected to start in Bynum’s place.
“It was Josh during the walk-through,” Brown said.
