Dodger Stadium supercross race to move to Angel Stadium
A supercross race scheduled Jan. 19 at Dodger Stadium will be moved to Angel Stadium in Anaheim because of off-season improvements being made at Dodger Stadium.
Supercross is the stadium version of motocross, or off-road motorcycle racing. And the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series already has two of its first five races next season scheduled at Angel Stadium: The season opener Jan. 5 and on Feb. 2.
The series’ organizer, Feld Motor Sports, announced Friday that the Jan. 19 race also would be shifted to Angel Stadium.
“We are working diligently to make the change . . . seamless for the teams, sponsors and most importantly the fans,” Ken Hudgens, Feld Motor Sports’ chief operating officer, said in a statement.
Organizers also said a Monster Jam truck event scheduled Feb. 16 at Dodger Stadium was canceled.
