Bode Miller hits wife in face with errant golf shot
Bode Miller will probably be sticking to the slopes from now on after the Olympic gold-medal-winning skier accidentally hit his wife in the face with a golf shot Wednesday.
“I’m not feeling so hot,” Miller’s wife, Morgan, tweeted on Wednesday. “Line drive to the face today with a golf ball from my darling husband. I still love.”
She gave an update on Thursday: “Still can’t see out of left eye but I am getting some feeling back in my face.”
And later Thursday: “Discharged and headed home. Hoping I can score a cool eye patch.”
It took 50 stitches to close the cut over her left eye.
Do you want to see what she looks like? Well, here’s a link to her photo, but it is not a pretty sight, so beware.
Here’s a guess that Bode Miller will be picking out some extra-special Christmas presents. And birthday presents. And anniversary present. And doing anything else Morgan asks him. For the rest of his life.
