Loyola Marymount edges San Francisco, 77-76

St. Mary’s 74, at Pepperdine 45: The Gaels dominated, scoring 30 points from behind the three-point line on 10-for-23 shooting to the Waves’ zero and outrebounding Pepperdine 40-29. Matthew Dellavedova led St. Mary’s with 16 points, and Jorden Page and Stephen Holt added 14 each. Jordan Baker had 14 points and Taylor Darby 10 for the Waves (7-6, 1-1 West Coast), who shot 37%. The Gaels (13-2, 2-0) never trailed.
Loyola Marymount 77, at San Francisco 76: Anthony Ireland drove for a layup with 1.6 seconds left in overtime, giving the Lions a wild victory. San Francisco’s Angelo Caloiaro had given the Dons the lead on a layup with 36 seconds left. Ireland dribbled the game clock under seven seconds before starting his drive. He finished with 17 points for the Lions (8-6, 1-0 WCC). Caloiaro scored 26 points, matching his career high, for the Dons (9-6, 0-2).
WOMEN
No. 4 Stanford 77, at UCLA 50: Nnemkadi Ogwumike and Chiney Ogwumike posted double-doubles for the second game in a row, and the Cardinal (11-1, 2-0 Pacific-12) beat the Bruins for the 12th consecutive time. Rebekah Gardner scored 17 points and Markel Walker had 11 for the injury-riddled Bruins (6-7, 1-1).
at USC 74, California 54: Christina Marinacci and Cassie Harberts scored 23 points each for the Trojans. Ashley Corral added 13 points for USC (6-6, 1-1 Pac-12), which outshot California 44.4% to 26.8%. Brittany Boyd’s 14 points led the Bears (9-5, 0-2), who lost their second game in a row.
