Football: Simi Valley clinches first playoff spot since 1992
Members of Simi Valley’s football team weren’t even born the last time the Pioneers participated in a playoff game in 1992.
But Simi Valley (5-4, 2-0) clinched a playoff berth in the Western Division on Thursday night with a 49-24 win over Agoura.
The Pioneers, coached by Ryan Taggart, can win the new Canyon League with a victory over Calabasas next week.
