Football: Dymond Lee makes the play to help Chaminade defeat Alemany
Dymond Lee of Chaminade is a top athlete who believes in his ability. That’s why he committed to UCLA insisting he wants to play quarterback even though most consider him a receiver first.
On Friday night, Lee showed off his athleticism, scrambling and finding T.J. Pledger open in the end zone for a game-winning 19-yard touchdown pass with eight seconds left to give the Eagles a 43-40 win over Alemany.
“Everybody kept working after the scramble and Dymond found him,” Coach Ed Croson said.
It was Chaminade’s best win over a Pac-5 opponent since moving to the division last season.
Chaminade is 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the Mission League.
“The young guys are getting better,” Croson said.
