Football: Adoree’ Jackson, Damien Mama are Parade All-Americans
Parade magazine publishes its All-America high school football team on Sunday (it comes with The Times), and the only two players from Southern California to make the team are defensive back Adoree’ Jackson from Gardena Serra and offensive lineman Damien Mama from St. John Bosco.
Quarterback Will Grier from Davidson Day School in Davidson, N.C., was named the player of the year. He has already started classes at Florida.
Jackson and Mama are scheduled to make their college announcements on Wednesday.
Honorable mention choices were running back Tre Watson of Corona Centennial, tight end Bryce Dixon of Ventura St. Bonaventure, lineman Viane Talamaivao of Centennial and linebacker Chandler Leniu of St. John Bosco.
Dixon and Talamaivao are set to sign with USC. Watson and Leniu are headed to California.
