Boys’ basketball: Bolden Brace scores 41 points in Santa Barbara victory

Bolden Brace, a 6-foot-6 senior headed to Northeastern University, poured in 41 points on Thursday night to help Santa Barbara defeat Westlake, 80-52, in the championship game of the Santa Barbara tournament.

Santa Barbara improved to 17-1.

Hunter Gettings scored 15 points and Drew Brackens 14 for Westlake.

Flintridge Prep defeated Bishop Diego, 56-45. Dante Fregoso scored 15 points.

In South Carolina, Santa Ana Mater Dei was beaten by Ohio Moeller, 43-40, in the fifth-place game of the Beach Ball Classic.

MJ Cage scored 10 points for the Monarchs (13-2).
