Boys’ basketball: Bishop Montgomery knocks off Redondo
Bishop Montgomery improved to 13-1 on Saturday with a 71-58 win over Redondo at Jordan Hangar. Stephen Thompson Jr. scored 29 points.
Corona Centennial got back to its winning ways on Saturday with a 63-54 win over Westchester at the Jordan Hangar. Sedrick Barefield and Jalen Hill each scored 16 points.
Bennie Boatwright had 20 points and 17 rebounds in Village Christian’s 54-42 win over Santa Monica. Clifton Powell added 17 points.
Robert Lewis had 13 points in Compton’s 54-52 win over Lawndale.
Chino Hills defeated Alemany, 88-72. Lonzo Ball scored 28 points. Cantwell-Sacred Heart defeated Loyola, 62-55.
In the Ron Massey Classic, Rancho Cucamonga defeated Rancho Dominguez, 75-58. Blake Fisher scored 31 points.
De’Anthony Melton scored 21 points and Taj Regans 19 in Crespi’s 79-58 win over Chula Vista Mater Dei.
Viewpoint defeated Renaissance, 74-70. Miye Oni had 24 points and Christian Juzang 22. Viewpoint is 12-2.
Orange Lutheran defeated Temecula Valley, 73-46. Rogers Printup scored 17 points.
Calabasas defeated Clovis North, 66-53. Conner Longmire and Kevin Seyedan each had 16 points.
Sierra Canyon pulled off its second win over a top team in Arizona, defeated Corona Del Sol, 65-64. Cody Riley scored 23 points and had the game-winning layup.
