Baseball: The Southern California connection at Emory University
Emory University is escaping the cold weather of Atlanta to come to Southern California next weekend to open its baseball season against Occidental College, Cal Lutheran and Pomona-Pitzer, and three players from Studio City Harvard-Westlake figure to play prominent roles.
Junior Connor Dillman is scheduled to pitch against Occidental. Freshman Hans Hansen is scheduled to pitch against Cal Lutheran. And junior Wes Peacock is a likely starter in center field.
If Emory needs directions around Southern California, there’s plenty of others on the team that can provide help. Tyler Sprague (Viewpoint) is a pitcher. Brett Lake (Campbell Hall) is an outfielder. Cole Vercammen (Crespi) is an infielder. Ben Vizvary (Calabasas) is an infielder. Dylan Eisner from Laguna Niguel is the starting second baseman.
I’m sure they’ll all have good stories to tell about surviving the snow and ice of the South.
