Baseball: SoCal players headed to New York to be honored during World Series
A group of Southern California high school baseball players who helped the USA 18U team win the gold medal at the WBSC U-18 World Cup in late summer will be honored prior to the Mets-Royals Game Four World Series matchup on Saturday at Citi Field.
The players making the trip to New York are Kevin Gowdy, Santa Barbara; Hunter Greene, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame; Hagen Danner, Huntington Beach; Nick Pratto, Huntington Beach; Reggie Lawson, Victor Valley, and Blake Rutherford, Chaminade.
Pratto was named tournament MVP.
