Update: Ducks defensemen Korbinian Holzer and Clayton Stoner filled in well for injured Sami Vatanen and Kevin Bieksa on Monday. Holzer’s two assists marked his first career multi-point game and Stoner got an assist in 20 minutes 26 seconds of playing time, the second-most ice time for him this season.

The Ducks will rely on them again if Bieksa and Vatanen remain unavailable. Anaheim took Tuesday off for a community event and Coach Bruce Boudreau initially said Vatanen and Bieksa might return at the end of the week.

An overtime loss to the Rangers on Dec. 22 was arguably the Ducks’ low point, putting them at 12-15-6, and they subsequently went on a 25-4-2 run. Rangers goalie Antti Raanta will start Wednesday, and it’ll be Henrik Lundqvist on Thursday against the Kings, according to the Rangers.

Boudreau became the fastest Ducks coach to 200 victories Monday.
