Dodgers release spring training schedule
In less than three months, players will be telling us how they’re all in the best shape of their lives and think this will be the season they can win the World Series.
Like in any other year.
Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to the Dodgers’ spring training camp in Phoenix on Feb. 12, the team announced on Monday. The first full-squad workout will be Feb. 16.
Workouts are open to the public.
The Dodgers will play 34 games in the Cactus League, including 19 at their home Camelback Ranch. They have at least one home game scheduled for each of the five weekends of the exhibition season.
The Dodgers will open Cactus League play on Feb. 23 against the Chicago White Sox, with whom they share Camelback Ranch. The Dodgers’ schedule includes a split-squad game at home on March 6 against Mexico’s World Baseball Classic team, which will be captained by Adrian Gonzalez and also include Luis Cruz.
There will be three days off: March 4, 13 and 21.
The Dodgers will break camp on March 27 after they visit the Seattle Mariners for their Cactus League finale and return to Southern California for three games against the Angels. The games on March 28 and 30 will be at Dodger Stadium.
