C.J. Wilcox leads Clippers to win over Thunder, 80-63, in summer league
Shooting guard C.J. Wilcox led the Clippers to a 80-63 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday in the Orlando summer league.
It was the Clippers’ (1-2) first win in the Orlando summer league.
Wilcox had a game-high 22 points, though it took him 17 shots to get them. He also made four of his eight three-point attempts.
Former Michigan State forward Branden Dawson also had an impressive performance, finishing with 14 points on seven-for-14 shooting and 11 rebounds in nearly 28 minutes.
Point guard Nate Wolters added 12 points and five assists.
The Thunder was led by guard Frank Gaines, who had 12 points. Dakari Johnson added 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Semaj Christon had 10 points.
The Clippers outshot the Thunder from beyond the three-point line, 41.1% to 18.8%. The Thunder committed 21 turnovers while the Clippers had 12.
