The Times podcast: Biden’s bold moves abroad to win at home

Kasia Broussalian is a former senior producer on the news podcast, “The Times.” Prior to joining the Los Angeles Times, Broussalian managed the multimedia efforts of Project Syndicate, first from the Czech Republic and later from New York City. She was the founding producer of the “Opinion Has It” podcast, as well as the “Short Cut” explainer video series. Broussalian started her journalism career as a photographer and videographer for the Boulder Daily Camera and has been recognized by the Hearst Journalism Awards program and Eddie Adams Barnstorm Workshop.

Shannon Lin is a former senior podcast producer for the Los Angeles Times. She previously worked at KQED in San Francisco as a breaking news reporter and producer, where she covered topics ranging from COVID-19 outbreaks in state prisons to the spread of misinformation in the Mandarin-speaking community on WeChat. Before that, she interned at WNYC and NPR’s “All Things Considered.” She’s a Bay Area native and the proud daughter of Taiwanese immigrants.

Surya Hendry was a summer 2022 intern with the podcast and audio team at the Los Angeles Times. Previously, she has made podcasts for KUOW-FM, WBUR-FM, YR Media and other places. She’s originally from Everett, Wash., and studies political science at Stanford University.
