Casey Schreiner is a writer, producer, presenter and author who wrote The Wild newsletter in 2022. He has worked on and hosted shows for television and streaming networks, written Emmy-nominated documentaries and penned three books about the outdoors — including the first and only in-depth guidebook for Griffith Park. He is the founder of the website Modern Hiker and has been writing about the outdoors in the West since 2006.
