Letters: Why no women on the City Council?
Re “From Sacramento to L.A.,” July 5
Your article states that the L.A. City Council is a popular landing spot for ex-legislators. I have one question: Where are the women? Currently, there are no female voices on the City Council, and there are very few in the Legislature. Where are women’s voices in the city of L.A.?
This is shameful.

With seven of the 15 members of the City Council coming from Sacramento, the article says the council is “a destination for professional politicians.”
I think it is more a body whose members are infatuated with the public trough. God forbid they should get a real job.
