Ducks, Kings play hockey at Dodger Stadium: How they’ll keep it frozen
Dodger Stadium will become a hockey rink on Saturday when the Ducks and the Kings play their NHL Stadium Series game -- one of six outdoor league games to be played this season. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m.
Outdoor hockey in L.A. -- it’s a first. And on a day when the high may reach upward of 80 degrees. “I don’t think anyone ever thought it’d be possible to do here,” Ducks center Saku Koivu told the Los Angeles Times. “It’s going to be a great experience.”
Unless the ice cube melts.
