Ex-pro boxer arrested in 1987 killing of his manager
Los Angeles police announced Wednesday the arrest of former professional boxer Exum Speight in the 1987 killing of his manager.
Speight, 50, was taken into custody by a fugitive task force in the city of San Fernando on Wednesday morning, police said.
LAPD officials said he faces a murder charge in the death of Douglas Stumler, who had been managing Speight for about two years before he was found dead in his West Los Angeles apartment on March 29, 1987.
Police officials said DNA evidence led to the break in the case.
