Supermodel Kate Upton turns down L.A. teen’s invitation to prom
The high school senior who asked supermodel Kate Upton to his prom will have to find another date.
He finally got an answer, and it’s not good news for 17-year-old Jake Davidson, who attends Milken Community High School in Sherman Oaks.
Upton told People magazine that she’s booked, and her schedule won’t allow it.
But she did say that the invitation made her feel great.
Davidson had invited Upton to the prom with a YouTube video that went viral, with more than 2 million views.
She responded to the video on Twitter, saying:
“You can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I’ll check my schedule ;) “
Davidson told KTLA, “I truthfully did not think she was going to respond. Just her response was incredible, it made my senior year so much better.”
“Not only is she the most beautiful woman in the world, but she is also the coolest. I could not believe it. It was one of the greatest moments in my life.”
Davidson made the video in about five hours with his friend Talia Myers, a USC film student.
The prom is May 23, so Davidson has a couple months to find a replacement.
