‘Star Wars’ X-Wing fighter parked on Hollywood Boulevard, but no cars allowed

A section of Hollywood Boulevard is closed to traffic for the next few days — but spaceships are OK.

As part of a grand premier of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”  Saturday at the Pantages Theatre, an X-Wing fighter is now parked on the boulevard. 

It’s been a big hit on social media:

Photos of the the fighter show it taking up a good bit of the street.

Here’s more information about the street closures from City News Service:

  • Through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec.13, Hollywood Boulevard will be closed between Ivar Avenue and Vine Street, and between Vine and Argyle Avenue.  
  • On Saturday, Hollywood Boulevard between Argyle and Gower Street will be closed to westbound traffic from 3 p.m. to midnight, and will be closed to eastbound traffic between Cahuenga Boulevard and Ivar Avenue.  
  • Beginning Friday at 9 p.m. and continuing until Sunday at 9 a.m., Vine Street will be closed between Hollywood Boulevard and Yucca Street.
  • Vine will also be closed between Sunset Boulevard and Yucca Street from 3 p.m. until midnight on Saturday.
