Homeless man charged with murder after girlfriend’s body is found in WeHo dumpster
A homeless man living in West Hollywood has been charged with murder in the death of his 28-year-old girlfriend, whose body was found in a dumpster, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Abdulla Tario Camran, 29, was charged in the slaying of Joie Nicole Kinney, who prosecutors say was dating Camran at the time of her death.
Kinney’s body was discovered July 6 in a dumpster near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center behind a former Jerry’s Famous Deli.
Ricardo Santiago, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, declined to describe the alleged murder weapon. Coroner’s records in the investigation remain sealed at the request of Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives.
Camran was arrested by sheriff’s deputies after being spotted on Arrow Highway in Pomona on Tuesday. He was due to appear in court Wednesday. Prosecutors have requested his bail be set at $2 million.
If convicted of the killing, Camran faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison
