Two homicides overnight: one in Carson, another in Norwalk
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives were kept busy overnight with two deaths -- one in Carson and another in Norwalk.
At about 9:43 p.m. Thursday, a man was shot near the intersection of Fiat Street and Caroldale Avenue in Carson, the Sheriff’s Department said. The man was taken to a hospital where he died.
A few hours later, in an unrelated incident at 1:15 a.m. Friday, a man was killed in the 16000 block of Pioneer Boulevard in Norwalk.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The identities of the two men were not immediately available and there was no information on possible suspects.
