Two men wounded in separate shootings by L.A. sheriff’s deputies
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies shot and wounded two men in unrelated incidents Sunday in Los Angeles and Castaic, authorities said.
Deputies opened fire in the Mid-City neighborhood of Los Angeles about 3:48 p.m., hitting a man at Venice Boulevard and Cadillac Avenue, said Sheriff’s Deputy Kim Manatt.
In a separate incident just after 6 p.m., deputies shot a man in the 28600 block of Cloverleaf Place in Castaic, an unincorporated area northwest of Santa Clarita.
No deputies were injured, Manatt said. A weapon was recovered at the scene of each shooting, he said.
Manatt did not have further information on the circumstances of the shootings.
The suspects were sent to hospitals, but their conditions were not available.
