Transient in hot water after Ventura homeowner finds him in whirlpool
A transient found himself in hot water Tuesday after a Ventura homeowner found him inside his whirlpool spa.
The homeowner, who lives in the 1800 block of Channel Drive, spotted the man, Travis Jones, inside his hot tub after hearing loud noises coming from his backyard about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
The man confronted Jones, who ran out of the yard and jumped onto the roof of a neighboring residence, police said. He was taken into custody without incident.
Jones was arrested on suspicion of prowling, being under the influence of a controlled substance and a parole violation, officials said.
