San Diego police investigate teen girl’s shooting death
Reporting from San Diego — San Diego police are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl whose body was found in a canyon, police said Monday.
The body was found Wednesday. The medical examiner determined that the teenager died of gunshot wounds, and the death is listed as a homicide, police Lt. Mike Hastings said.

The girl’s name is being withheld until family members are notified. No further details of the death were released.
