Woman sexually assaulted getting into car at O.C. mall
A 19-year-old woman was robbed and sexual attacked by an armed man in a parking structure at a Santa Ana mall on Wednesday, KTLA reports.
Santa Ana police said they were called to the Westfield MainPlace Mall about 5:30 p.m. after a young woman reported being robbed.
The woman told officers that as she was climbing into her car, a man pushed her inside the vehicle and brandished a weapon.
Police said the woman reported that she was sexually assaulted but was eventually able to escape and run for help.
Police said that after she escaped, the man stole some items from her car.
The attacker was described by authorities as being in his early 20s.
Investigators said they were looking at surveillance video for possible clues.
