Suspicious bag prompts brief evacuation at LAX terminal
The international terminal at Los Angeles International Airport was partially evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious bag was discovered, authorities said.
The ticketing area of Tom Bradley International Terminal was cleared after the luggage was reported to police about 12:45 p.m., Los Angeles Airport police Sgt. Belinda Nettles said.
Less than an hour later, a Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad had evaluated the bag and determined only clothes were inside, Nettles said. Passengers were allowed back into the terminal about 1:30 p.m.
